Following the earthquake in Yokohama, a large tidal wave had caused damage further down the Japanese coast.

Italy stated that they might not accept the decision of the League of Nations following their occupation of Corfu.

The Spanish Cabinet resigned.

The results of the Irish General Election showed that there was a majority of three to one in support of the Treaty.
