BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. G. McAllister, who was born in 1906, was educated at Wishaw High School and Glasgow University. A public relations consultant, journalist, and author, he joined the Labour Party in 1924, and won Rutherglen from the Conservatives in the 1945 election. He is particularly interested in town and country planning and was secretary of the Town and Country Planning Association.
