    To ask Her Majesty’s Government, in the light of the Corston review in 2007, how many women’s centres there are in the UK; where those centres are located; to what extent those centres support women on remand or serving community sentences; and what plans they have to establish additional centres.

    We do not collate information centrally about the numbers and locations of women’s centres across the UK or the services that they offer.

    The Government believes that future funding for women’s centres should lie at the local level, as local experts know what works in their community and how best to deliver services. We are encouraging and supporting areas to bring together local agencies in the criminal justice, statutory and third sectors to develop a joined-up, multi-agency approach to address the often complex needs of female offenders.

    Our Embassy in Tel Aviv has raised UK concerns with the Israeli Government on this issue. We continue to encourage the Israeli authorities and Bedouin communities to work together to identify a satisfactory solution. Any solution must respect the equality of all Israel’s citizens, and be consistent with Israel’s commitments under international law.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many stroke survivors are in receipt of social care funded by their local authority.

    Information collected as part of the Short and Long Term (SALT) data return indicates that in 76 out of 152 local authorities in England 10,545 people who have a reported health condition of stroke received support from their local authority in 2014/15. However, recovering from having a stroke might not be the reason people are receiving this support from their local authority as they might have other conditions as well. The reason for the partial data return is that this is a voluntary data collection by local authorities.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what steps he is taking to reduce the number of women in prison.

    As the Prime Minister has made clear, this government is committed to improving the treatment of female offenders. We are looking into options including tagging, problem solving courts and alternative resettlement units to improve our care for female offenders. This is particularly important if they are pregnant or have young children.

    We are working with local areas to encourage a more effective joined-up multi-agency approach to address the often complex needs of female offenders. We have awarded £200k in grant funding to pilot the development of these partnership models. It is hoped that this early intervention will allow the diversion of some offenders and the use of robust alternatives to custody, where appropriate.

    We regularly raise the issue of settler violence with the Israeli authorities. Our Ambassador in Tel Aviv most recently raised our concerns on 26 October with the Israeli Commander of Government Activities in the Territories, General Mordechai. He pressed for a swift resolution of the investigation into the attack that occurred in Duma in July, as well raising wider concerns around increasing settler violence, including during the olive harvest.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to ensure sufficient provision of neuromuscular and respiratory physiotherapy services for adults and children with neuromuscular conditions in the East Midlands.

    NHS England is responsible for commissioning specialised care for people with neuromuscular disorders. However, it commissions physiotherapy only as part of an inpatient episode. All other community and hospital outpatient physiotherapy is commissioned by clinical commissioning groups based on an assessment of local needs.

    Since 2015, NHS England has provided specific recurrent investment for three muscular dystrophy care advisor posts across the East Midlands.
