    Mr. Samuel Storey sat in Parliament from 1931 to 1945 as member for Sunderland and was Parliamentary private secretary to the Minister of Health from 1939 to 1942. Born in 1896, and educated at Haileybury and Cambridge, he is chairman and managing director of a newspaper company. He was chairman of the Press Association in 1938 and of Reuters in 1941.

    Mr. Charles Williams was first returned as M.P. for Tavistock in 1918, which he represented until 1922. Since 1924 he has represented Torquay. In the war-time Parliament he was deputy chairman of Ways and Means. Born in 1886, and educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, he comes of a family with a tradition of Parliamentary service. He is the eldest son of the late Mr. .1. C. Williams, formerly Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall.
