Mr. John Dugdale, who was returned unopposed in 1941 and re-elected in 1945, when he was appointed Financial Secretary to the Admiralty. He is 44. Educated at Wellington and Oxford, he has been an attache at the British Legation, Peking, a journalist, war correspondent, and private secretary to Mr. Attlee.
