    DECC’s most recent projections of future electricity generation were made as part of the EMR December Delivery Plan 2013. The percentage of total electricity generation expected from nuclear sources in each calendar year is shown below in Table 1.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what his Department’s policy is when a claimant’s regular signing on date date falls on a bank holiday.

    Jobseeker’s Allowance claimants who are due to attend their local jobcentre on a public holiday are excused from doing so and an advanced payment is issued.

    Claimants must continue to meet the conditions of entitlement, by being available for and looking for work and the actions they have taken to do so are reviewed at the claimant’s next attendance.

    The claimant is informed of this and issued with a formal notification at their attendance prior to the public holiday.

    The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my Rt. Hon. Friend the Member for Richmond (Yorks) (Mr Hague), has spoken to each of his Indian, Pakistani and US counterparts in recent months about South Asia regional issues and relations between India and Pakistan. We recognise the importance of finding a lasting solution to the situation in Kashmir, but remain of the view it is not for third parties to prescribe one. We continue to follow developments in the region closely, and officials from our High Commissions in both New Delhi and Islamabad regularly discuss the situation in Kashmir with both governments and travel to the region, security situation permitting.

    In the area of contracted assessment providers who are delivering Work Capability Assessments under the Medical Services Contract and Personal Independence Payment Assessments, the Department has no commercial risks that might affect operational security. Any commercial risks that might affect operational security are managed within the Department’s standard risk management framework and procedures.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what proportion of personal independence payment assessments were face to face in each month for which information is available.

    The Department has not set Personal Independence Payment assessment providers targets for the proportion of assessments to be conducted face to face and the average length of time for each assessment.

    Personal Independence Payment started from April 2013 and although limited data has started to feed through we need to wait until the Department has quality assured meaningful figures for publication. The Department is working to guidelines set by the UK Statistics Authority to ensure we are able to publish statistics that meet high quality standards at the earliest opportunity. We intend to publish official statistics on PIP from spring 2014 in line with our publication strategy.

    To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate she has made of the number of people who have applied for passports using the (a) fast track and (b) premium service in the last month; and how many recent passport applications will receive compensation from her Department.

    In June 2014, (a) 59, 692 people applied and paid for fast track and (b) 31,
    289 applied for premium service. Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) only
    normally offer compensation for financial loss as a result of delays in their guaranteed
    (Fast Track and Premium) services. HMPO does not have an estimate of how much
    compensation may be paid this year in line with their policy. As the Home
    Secretary announced on 12 June 2014, customers who need to travel within 7 days and who
    have waited more than the three weeks service standard for a straightforward application to
    be processed through no fault of their own, are fast-tracked free of charge.
    To 15 July, HMPO has issued 13, 461 passports as a result of this change of
    policy.

    The Government has not made any estimate of the number of cats deliberately poisoned by antifreeze products. Any deliberate poisoning of a cat is an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 punishable by a fine of £20,000 and/or six months imprisonment.

    0870 contact number, and this is being addressed. A small number of
    representations have been received on this matter.

    To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether 16 and 17 year olds registered to vote in Scotland for the referendum on the future of the United Kingdom will automatically be registered to vote in United Kingdom elections at their 18th birthday.

    There is no provision in UK electoral registration legislation for those who are included on the Register of Young Voters, which was created specifically for the referendum by Act of the Scottish Parliament, to be automatically included in the register of electors for those elections for which the UK Parliament has competence.

    Electoral Registration Officers will be conducting a full Household Enquiry canvass every summer from 2015. Provided that they are eligible, young people who appeared on the Register of Young Voters will be captured by the canvass and invited to register under Individual Electoral Registration.
