    To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 7 April 2014, Official Report, column 107W, to question 194746, on large goods vehicles: taxation, how many HGVs 94 per cent of UK HGVs paying the HGV user levy represents.

    We have estimated that around 259,000 UK HGVs will pay the road user levy. Of these, we estimated that around 94%, or 243,000, will pay no more than now, taking into account the reductions in Vehicle Excise Duty that happened at the same time.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Written Statement of 9 April 2014, Official Report, column 1417WS, on qualifications reform, and the Answer of 7 April 2014, Official Report, column 42W, on in vitro fertilisation, whether the study of the human genome as part of the revised content for GCSEs in science will involve pupils learning that genomic DNA is only found in the cell nucleus and that mitochondrial DNA is not part of the genome.

    The requirement that students study the genome and gene expression in the revised GCSE combined science and GCSE biology criteria covers all organisms, and is not specific to the human genome. It is therefore given at a level of generality that applies to all living things. The only specific reference in this section of the criteria to the human genome is in the context of the statement that requires students to be able to discuss the potential importance for medicine of our increasing understanding of the human genome.

    In developing their specifications which meet these criteria, Awarding Organisations may choose to include microorganisms, humans or any other organism when they cover the genome and gene expression.

To obtain this information would require an examination by each prison establishment of payment transactions made on the central prisoner monies recording system for each of the relevant periods. This would be a significant exercise and could only be done at disproportionate cost.

    Sickness absence is measured as the average working days lost (AWDL) per staff year, which is the measure used across all Government Departments.

    Sickness rates in adult prisons have fallen over the last ten years and remain below the rate of 14.8 days lost, across public sector adult prisons, in 2002/03.

    Information on staff sickness rates for High Down and for all prisons in England and Wales are published in Management Information Addendum to the NOMS Annual Report. The latest figures, which relate to 2012/13, can be found at the link below:

    To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if he will bring forward legislative proposals to require employers to undertake a systematic assessment of psychological risks in the workplace.

    The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 already require employers to undertake an assessment of risks to the health and safety of their employees. The Health and Safety Executive’s Management Standards for work related stress provide further practical guidance to support this legislation, and help employers to assess the risk of work-related stress. The Government believes that this represents a proportionate and sensible approach to the assessment of work-related stress and psychological risks.
