    Mr. N. H. Symington, farmer and company director, aged 46, was educated at Rugby and King’s College, Cambridge. He has been a member of Market Harborough U.D.C. since 1946. Twelve years ago he crossed the Sahara Desert on a motor-cycle. In December, 1949, he published a seven-point policy, which included the abolition of P.A.Y.E.

He is a director of a London publishing company, and the author of a satire on Socialism, ” Back to the Future.”

He was born in 1903 in Taunton, and articled to a local solicitor. He now practises in London.

    Mr. E. C. Baker, born in 1892, gained his cricket blue at Cambridge and occasionally played for Sussex some years ago. After service in the 1914-18 war he became a staff captain at the Army School of Instruction, Shorncliffe, and later took an appointment in Malaya. After the second world war, in which he was an Army instmctor, he was a senior history master at Bedford School for two years before returning to Cambridge to join the extra-mural board.

Born in 1882 and educated at Winchester and Trinity College, Oxford, he was called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn in 1908, and took silk in 1924. He is part author of books on national insurance, mining legislation, and world currency.

While at Eton he scored 183 in the Eton-Harrow cricket match in 1904.

He has travelled in Europe, the United States, and the Far East.

She was one of the founders of the Heckford Society in Shad-well and Limehouse, and is a governor of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children, Shad-well. She is the hon. secretary of the Westminster Liberal Party and an executive member of the London Liberal Party.
