BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. P. Taylor, who was born near Leeds in 1917, took his B.Sc. degree with first-class honours at Leeds University in 1938, and has since been employed as an industrial chemist by a Leeds firm. He was treasurer of Leeds University Socialist Society, and is an active member of the Association of Scientific Workers. From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of Pudsey Borough Council, and has been president of the divisional Labour Party organization.
