BIOGRAPHY :

Lt.-Col. S. Townend, who was educated at St. Edmund’s School, Canterbury, and Brase-nose College, Oxford, was commissioned in 1933, and held the appointment of A.Q.M.G. during the war. He is an English international and Empire Games champion. He is now a director of an international publishing company and of an international school in Switzerland and a director and founder of the Anglo-Swiss Society of Great Britain. He was for 10 years on Paddington Council.
