BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. F. J. Halpin was born in 1913 and is a teacher who was employed at Maidenhead when he resigned to join the R.A.F.V.R. at the outbreak of war. Serving with the Federated Malay States squadron of the R.A.F. he was wounded after a raid on Hamburg, joined the ” Pathfinders ” and received the D.F.C., and in 1945 was posted to the Air Ministry for administrative duties. Two years later he became Station Navigation Officer at a Flying Training Command station. He is one of the founders of the Middlesex County Liberal Organization.
