BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. Martin Lindsay, who was elected for the division in 1945, is an author and director of companies. During the war he served in Norway and North-West Europe, and was wounded, twice mentioned in dispatches, and awarded the D.S.O. as a battalion commander. Previously he had undertaken extensive explorations in Central Africa and the Arctic. He is chairman of the Midland Union of Conservative Associations. Born in 1905, he was educated at Wellington and Sandhurst.
