BIOGRAPHY :

Mrs. M. P. Tylecote has been a member of the Labour Party for 31 years. She is a lecturer and teacher and in 1932 married Professor F. E. Tylecote, Professor Emeritus of Medicine, University of Manchester. In 1940 she was elected to the Manchester City Council. In 1945 she unsuccessfully contested Middle-ton and Prestwich. She is a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. From 1919 to 1920 she was a student and teacher at the University of Wisconsin, United States.
