BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. Evans was elected member for West Islington in a by-election in 1947. Born in 1903, he became a master engraver and has been a member of the Goldsmiths’, Jewellers’ and Allied Trades Society since 1925. He has served on the Islington Borough Council and the London County Council, and has taken a special interest in questions affecting local government and trade and industry.
