BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. M. Bannerman contested Argyll in the 1945 election. Educated at Glasgow University and Balliol College, Oxford, he holds a B.Sc.(Agric) degree and is now a factor and farmer. He has captained Scotland and Rugby and is known throughout the Highlands as a Gaelic singer. He was born in 1901.
