BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. G. F. Thompson, head of a firm of solicitors at Esher (Surrey), where he lives was born at Hounslow (Middlesex) in 1902 and educated at Hampton Grammar School. At 14, he started work as a clerk for a London legal firm, studied in his spare time, and qualified as a solicitor in 1931. During the war he served in the R.A.F. as a flight lieutenant in the Air Ministry Secret Branch. He was a member of Esher Urban Council from 1934 to 1946, is a liveryman of the Solicitors’ Company, and a freeman of the City of London.
