BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. G. J. M. Longden, partner in a London firm of solicitors, is 48, and was educated at Hailey-bury and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He qualified with honours as a solicitor in 1924 and practised until 1930, when he became a company secretary in India, resigning in 1937. During the war he served in Burma with the 36th Division. He is chairman of Westminster university extension centre.
