Mr. D. R. Rees, aged 37, is a schoolmaster and has been president of the East London Teachers’ Association. He joined the Labour Party in 1933, and was prospective candidate for Upton, West Ham, until the outbreak of war. He is a member of the National Association of Labour Teachers, and of the Fabian Society and the London ?o-operative Society.
