BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. McInnes is leader of the Labour group in Glasgow Corporation, of which he has been a member since 1933. Formerly in the railway service, he later started in business as a retail tobacconist. He was commandant of the National Fire Service in Glasgow and adjacent counties during the war.
