Lt.-Col. J. H. Harrison was born in 1907 and has been connected with local and national politics for 20 years. He is associated with an Ipswich publishing firm, and has been a member of the town council. During the war he commanded a battalion of The Suffolk Regiment and was taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore.
