Mrs. E. Walker, wife of the Scottish secretary of the British Medical Association, is an honours graduate of Edinburgh. A mother of three sons, she worked with the Red Cross in a prisoner-of-war clothing depot during the war. She has served on the boards of various maternity hospitals and on the visiting committee of Aberdeen prison.
