BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. S. McKinlay was M.P. for the Partick division of Glasgow in 1929-31, and Dunbarton from 1941 to the dissolution. Formerly a woodworker and trade union organizer in the Clyde shipyards, he has been a prominent member of Glasgow Corporation and Convener of the Housing Committee.
