BIOGRAPHY :

The Rev. G. S. Woods, who was born in 1886, entered Parliament as Labour M.P. for Fins-bury in 1935 and was returned for Mossley in 1945. He was President of the Yorkshire Unitarian Union in 1932-34. He has been chairman of the local Labour Parties at Taunton and York, and he is on the national executive of the Cooperative movement, and a director of the Co-operative Press. He has served on the York City Council.
