BIOGRAPHY :

Mrs. G. Walford, aged 41, and the mother of two daughters, is the wife of Lt.-Col. J. E. S. Walford, who contested the neighbouring Sedgefield division. She is the daughter of Sir Murdoch Wilson, who was Unionist M.P. for Richmond (Yorks), 1918-29. During that time she was secretary of Richmond Women’s Unionist Association. She has been a member of Durham County Council since 1946.
