BIOGRAPHY :

Miss F. Adams, a personnel manager in a Nottingham firm, was during the war female labour officer at Chorley royal ordnance factory. In 1948 she was made Ministry of Supply regional labour manager for the northwest. Aged 45, and educated at St. Edmund’s College and the University of Liverpool, she was for some years a voluntary social worker in the slums of Liverpool.
