BIOGRAPHY :

Wg. Cdr. E. R. Millington won the division as a Common Wealth candidate in a by-election in 1945 and retained it at the general election, transferring to the Labour Party in 1946. Born in 1916 and brought up in commercial life, he joined the Royal Engineers after Munich and later became a wing commander in the R.A.F. and took part in many bombing missions ?ver Europe. He has lectured in 10 countries on international affairs.
