BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. R. Wood, son of Lord Halifax, was born in 1920 and educated at Eton. Joining the Army as a private at the age of 20, he was later commissioned and served in the Middle East, where he lost both legs. In spite of his disability he drives a car and rides horseback. After leaving the Army he spent two years at Oxford, and has toured the United States. He takes an active interest in the Limbless Ex-servicemen’s Association.
