    To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, when he plans to publish further details of his Department’s draft plans to change the way sports funding is allocated, with reference to pages 16 and 17 of Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation.

    Sport England’s new strategy, which is due to be published in Spring, will set out how the actions in Sporting Future will be delivered at grassroots level. This will set out the way in which funding will be allocated, in accordance with the principles set out in the government’s strategy for sport.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 24 March 2015, to Question 31427, whether her Department plans to provide additional funding to enable 25 per cent of secondary schools to extend their school day in the event that less than £285 million is available from the soft drinks industry levy.

    The Chancellor announced in his Budget statement that up to £285 million a year would be made available to give 25% of secondary schools increased opportunity to extend their school day to offer a wider range of activities for pupils. The soft drinks industry levy is expected to raise £520 million in the first year and the revenue will contribute to this funding.

    It is also confirmed that the Barnett formula will be applied to spending on this initiative in the normal way.

    The Home Office provides asylum seeker accommodation through contracts. Those providers have a range of landlords with whom they work to provide accommodation.

    There are no plans to publish information regarding the detailed measures or key performance indicators of individual providers or their properties.

    The consultation “Self-sufficient local government: 100% business rates retention”, published by the Department for Communities and Local Government, sought views on a range of options for devolving new responsibilities to local government in England including more responsibility for caring for older people. This was not a consultation on the devolution of Attendance Allowance.

    If changes were to be considered in respect of Attendance Allowance for England and Wales, there would be further consultation and any proposals would be discussed with the Welsh Government.

    To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the effect of his plans for HM Revenue and Customs offices in Liverpool on jobs and services in that area; and if he will make a statement.

    HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) announced the planned locations of its future Regional Centres based on a number of key principles. In addition to cost, HMRC has taken account of the quality of local transport links, the local labour market and future workforce supply, and the need to retain the staff and skills they need to continue their transformation. These changes will reduce HMRC’s estates costs by around £100 million a year by 2025. HMRC intends to have extensive discussions with all our staff to keep them fully informed of their options as the programme continues.

    HMRC views Liverpool as a key site for customer service activity. The Department will be making a long term investment in the City and is planning to open a Regional Centre there from 2018/19 employing between 2,800 and 3,100 employees.

    To ask Her Majesty’s Government, in the light of their recent proposal to prevent groups and organisations from objecting to the admissions arrangements of schools, what assessment they have made of whether the average parent has the expertise to identify and object to breaches of the School Admissions Code.

    Parents do not need a detailed knowledge of the School Admissions Code to be able to refer objections to the Schools Adjudicator. Many parents refer objections to the Schools Adjudicator.

    The Department’s proposed changes are intended to ensure that the Adjudicator is able to focus on the concerns parents may have about the fairness of the admission arrangements of their local school.

    The Department will be conducting a full public consultation in due course and will give careful consideration to all the views expressed in that consultation.
