    To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many redundancy payments have been recovered from NHS staff who have been made redundant and subsequently re-employed by an NHS organisation in each of the last three years.

    The Department does not hold information relating to the recovery of payments from National Health Service staff made redundant and subsequently re-employed by an NHS organisation.

    This information will be held locally by NHS organisations.

    The NHS is set to save £5.5 billion this Parliament and £1.5 billion each year thereafter, reducing unnecessary bureaucracy and freeing up extra resources for patient care.

    Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) does not collect performance data at this
    level. HMPO monitors performance at national level as it distributes work across the
    UK estate to manage any variation in local levels of passport demand.
    The cost of identifying information in the format requested would be disproprtionate.

    To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, from which other Departments temporary additional staff at the Passport Office have been deployed; and what training costs have arisen from such redeployment.

    To date, all but one of the additional staff have been redeployed from within HM
    Passport Office and the wider Home Office.

    Discussions are continuing with other Government Departments about whether
    deployment of any more of their staff would be necessary.

    The training that has arisen from this deployment has been delivered using
    internal resources and this has not incurred any additional costs other than
    the time of those involved and certain travel and subsistence costs.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if he will review the reporting of the mis-stunning of animals before slaughter by the Food Standards Agency to ensure that the way in which the data is collected provides as accurate a picture as possible of the real situation.

    Official Veterinarians of the Food Standards Agency report centrally all cases of non-compliances with the welfare at slaughter regulations. This data provides an accurate picture of welfare breaches at slaughterhouses.

    The Welfare at Time of Killing Regulations will come into force next month and we will keep the effectiveness of monitoring and enforcement at slaughterhouses under review.

    To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what the nationality and gender was of each suspected victim of trafficking referred to the Trafficking Victim Support Scheme operated by the Salvation Army in March 2014; which agency referred each person to that scheme; in which town the shelter to which those people were placed for the relevant period was; and what contact is had with each such victim to ensure their safety after they exit the scheme.

    In March 2014, there were 126 referrals to the Government-funded support
    service for adult victims of human trafficking in England and Wales
    administered by The Salvation Army. In the interests of victim safety only the
    region in which the victim was encountered is provided, and not which town they
    were placed in. Once an individual receives a Conclusive Grounds decision they
    will be given tailored move-on support to safely return home or integrate in
    the UK. Once they exit the service, no formal mechanisms exist to maintain
    contact.

    Keeping the public safe is our priority. Absconds and escapes have reached record lows under this Government but each incident is taken seriously. Immediate changes have already been ordered to tighten up the system as a matter of urgency. Prisoners will no longer be transferred to open conditions or allowed out on temporary release if they have previously absconded, escaped, or attempted to do either.

    My officials are currently working to provide the information requested. I will write to you in due course.

    There continues to be very close contact between the PSNI and An Garda Siochana to tackle the threat faced from dissident republican activity on both sides of the border. Every opportunity will be taken to consider ways to improve cross border working relationships and deepen the collective understanding of the threat, building on the excellent co-operation that exists.
