NEWS STORY : Reform Mayor Luke Campbell Denies Allegations Amid Police Investigation

STORY

Luke Campbell, the Reform UK mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire, is under police investigation following allegations that he showed naked images of himself to a female colleague. The former Olympic boxing champion firmly denies the allegations. He has reportedly been interviewed under caution by Humberside Police but has not been arrested or charged.

The Observer first reported that a senior female employee alleged Campbell displayed four sexualised photographs on a workplace computer in May. According to documents examined by the newspaper, she said colleagues laughed at her reaction and that she felt humiliated. She also alleges that an offer of permanent employment was subsequently withdrawn.

Reform UK said Campbell firmly denied the allegations and described the complaint as an attempt by a disgruntled employee to secure a settlement in a workplace dispute. The party also said a charity edition of Gay Times, featuring photographs of Campbell following his Olympic success, had circulated in the office. An internal grievance procedure at Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority is ongoing.
