BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. W. Craggs, born in 1886, has lived for half a century in the division, where he has been a well-known social worker and keen industrialist. He is vice-president of the Northern Liberal Federation and chairman of Newcastle Liberal Club. He is chairman and managing director of a firm of paint manufacturers, and a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
