BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. E. Tapscott has for 25 years been a militant trade unionist. He is a former president of the Plymouth and District Trades Council and he served on the central committee of the Plymouth Trades Council during the 1926 strike. Between the wars he was active in the National Unemployed Workers’ Movement, and as secretary of the S willy and North Prospect Tenants’ Association he recently organized opposition to local increases in the rents of council houses.
