BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. T. B. H. Chappell, an ex-regular soldier, was an Exeter policeman from 1926 to 1939, when he resigned on winning £13,000 in a football pool. He then became a licensee at North Tawton, and is now a private inquiry agent in Exeter. He is the holder of all-round sportsman trophies in the Coldstream Guards and Exeter Police. Ex-chairman of South Molton Labour Party. He is the father of 13 children.
