BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. P. Bryan, born in Japan in 1913, was educated at St. John’s School, Leatherhead, and at Caius College, Cambridge, from which he holds a M.A. degree in French and Spanish. He is a director of a wholesale clothing firm. During the war he served with The Royal West Kent Regiment and rose to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He won the M.C. while in North Africa. He unsuccessfully contested Sowerby at the 1949 by-election.
