BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. H. Jennings, senior classics master at Chesterfield Grammar School and W.E.A. lecturer, was born in 1916. From Bradford Grammar School he won scholarships to Oxford. He joined the Army as a private in 1940, was wounded in Belgium, and reached captain’s rank. President of Chesterfield branch of the N.U.T., he is also a member of Sheffield City Council.
