BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. Johnson, the son of a Northumberland miner, born in 1908, won his way by scholarships to Leeds University, where he took his B.A. with first-class honours. He is a lecturer in social studies at Coventry Technical College and on the executive of the West Midland Council of Labour parties. He played football for the English Universities XI and the Corinthians.
