BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. Schofield is a well-known figure in the cotton-spinning industry and has had 33 years’ active service in the Territorial Army, in which he is a lieutenant-colonel. A native of Oldham, aged 59, he played a prominent part in the formation of the Yarn Spinners? Association, Manchester ; he is on the management committee of Oldham Master Cotton Spinners’ Association, and vice-chairman of Oldham Chamber of Commerce.
