BIOGRAPHY :

Dr. S. Segal, who won Preston i? 1945, had to conduct the early stages of his campaign in the present election from a bed in the Preston Royal Infirmary, where he was being treated for a spinal complaint. Born in 1902, he is a physician and surgeon in London. During the war he was an officer in the R.A.F. medical service in the Middle East, and later chief medical officer of the Naval Cooperation Group, R.A.F., Cairo.
