BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. Blenkinsop, before he became Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health, was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Pensions. Born in 1911, he was educated at the Royal Grammar School, Newcastle on Tyne, and the College of Commerce, and when later he was employed by a colliery firm he lectured in his spare time for the W.E.A. During the war he joined The Durham Light Infantry, and was transferred to the Army Education Corps, being promoted to captain.
