BIOGRAPHY :
Col. O. E. Crosthwaite-Eyre, chairman of printing and publishing companies, rose from the ranks to become a colonel in the Royal Marines during the war, and served on the staff for the invasion of Europe. Born in 1913, he was educated at Downside and Trinity College, Cambridge. He is a verderer of the New Forest. One of his ancestors sat in Parliament in Elizabeth’s reign.
