BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. C. S. Hilditch, born in 1906, took an honours degree in history at Manchester University and became senior history lecturer at Lancaster emergency training college. He has been chairman of the Chorley division Labour Party, president of the Leyland Labour Party, and a member of the executive of the Lancaster Labour Party. He was a flight lieutenant in the R.A.F. during the war.
