BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. B. McManus, a retired provision merchant, has been a member of Manchester City Council since 1929 and an alderman since 1944. He was born in 1887, and after receiving an elementary school education in Ireland he went to Manchester at the age of 30. He is vice-chairman of the Manchester area council of the Anti-Partition League.
