BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. C. Bossom, member for Maidstone since 1931, was born in London in 1881. At the age of 23 he went to the United States, where in 10 years he built up a large architectural practice. Since his retirement from business in 1926 he has given his time to the modernization of the building industry, and accompanied the British Building Mission to America in 1943. As an alderman of the London County Council he was chairman of the Slum Clearance Committee until 1934.
