BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. Barford was born in Leeds in 1894, and is a schoolmaster. For over 30 years he has been in the Leeds education service. He served in the first war from 1914, and was invalided out in 1918. In the 1945 election he contested South Leeds as a Liberal, but has since become a Conservative.
