BIOGRAPHY :

Col. A. D. MacI. Shaw was one of Mr. Asquith’s opponents in the Paisley by-election in 1923, and in the next year was elected member for Bridgeton division of Glasgow, which he represented until 1929. Aged 54, he is a son of a former Lord Provost of Glasgow, and managing director of a firm of ironfounders. He served in India during the last war.
