BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. Anthony Marlowe, K.C., who is 45, represented Brighton and Hove since 1941, when he was returned unopposed in a by-election. Called to the Bar in 1928, he joined the Army in 1939, was promoted Lieutenant-Colonel in 1942 and served on the staff of the Judge Advocate-General. He is the son of the late Mr. Thomas Marlowe, a former editor of the Daily Mail, and is married to a daughter of Sir Patrick Hastings.
