BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. C. Drewe was born in 1896 and was educated at Eton and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, serving in the Royal Artillery in the 1914-18 war. In 1924 he entered the House of Commons as member for South Molton but was defeated in 1929. He re-entered the House in 1931 as member for Honiton. He was an assistant whip in 1943 and in 1944 a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury. In 1948 he was selected as Conservative deputy Chief Whip. He is a farmer.
