BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. D. C. Walker-Smith, son of Sir J. Walker-Smith, M.P. for Barrow-in-Furness and a former housing director at the Ministry of Health, is 39. He won scholarships to Rossall, Christ Church, Oxford, and the Middle Temple, and was called to the Bar. A writer on political subjects, he edited the English Review for two years. Serving on General Eisenhower’s staff in the war, he became a lieutenant-colonel. He was elected for Hertford in 1945.
