BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. T. Williams, who won the seat at a by-election in 1949, was born in 1915, the son of a South Wa?es minair. He gained scholarships to the University of Wales, and is M.A.(Oxon), B.D.(Wales), and Ll.B. (London). He is a Baptist minister, and has been bursar, and tutor at Manchester College, Oxford, and chaplain and welfare officer at a camp for returned R.A.F. war prisoners.
