Mr. T. Fraser, joint Undersecretary for Scotland, is 39. He started work in the mines when 14, and worked underground until elected to Parliament in 1942. He has held various offices in the miners’ union and has been secretary of Lanark Labour Party. He has shown great energy in introducing new industries into the county.
